Sanjiv Kaul, Executive Chairman

Sanjiv has a strong track record of growing several of the key businesses in EDA over his 25 year career. At Synopsys, as Sr. VP / GM of the IC Implementation technology, Sanjiv was responsible for leading the company’s successful expansion of its RTL synthesis franchise to leadership in RTL to GDSII. Since leaving Synopsys in 2004, Sanjiv has been involved with several startups in a variety of industries as an investor, advisor and Board member. Sanjiv has a BS from the University of Delhi and a BSEE from the University of Maryland. Sanjiv Kaul is the co-founder of a stealth mode Photovoltaic startup.


Joe Costello, Chairman and CEO Orb Networks

Joe is highly regarded for his business acumen and bold moves in the high-tech industry. In 1997, Chief Executive Magazine named Joe the top performing chief executive officer of all publicly traded companies in North America. He also made Upside Magazine's 1997 "Elite 100" list of the top executives leading the digital revolution. In addition to his position at Orb Networks, Joe is chairman of think3, a global provider of product design and development software solutions, where he also previously served as chief executive officer. Prior to think3, Joe was president and chief executive officer at Cadence Design Systems, Inc., for more than a decade. Under his leadership, Cadence became the world's leading supplier of electronic EDA software and services and one of the 10 highest-grossing software vendors in the world. Joe holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics and physics from Harvey Mudd College, a Master of Science degree in physics from Yale University and a Master of Science degree in physics from the University of California, Berkeley.


Larry Yoshida, Chairman and CEO Premier Technologies

Mr. Larry Yoshida has had a distinguished career in the Japanese semiconductor and electronics industry that spans four decades and includes many business and technology accomplishments. Mr. Yoshida spent almost two decades at Tokyo Electron, Inc. (TEL), where he invented the worlds first fully automated water prober in 1976 and held numerous senior-level positions including president and CEO. He retired TEL in 1986 and founded Innotech Corporation, leading the company through a public offering in 1991 as president and CEO. He spent 18 years at the Innotech, retiring as Chairman in 2004 but still serves as a corporate advisor. Following Innotech, Mr. Yoshida founded Premier Technologies, Inc. with Koichi Suzuki. The company’s mission is to introduce high-tech ventures and their technology offerings into Japan. Mr. Yoshida has a degree in Power Electricity from Osaka Prefecture University. He serves as a director of Advanced Micro-Fabrication Equipment, Inc. (AMEC), and is the president and CEO (chairman of the board) of Premier Technologies, Inc.


Johnson Limqueco, VP R&D Oasys

Johnson Limqueco is a Co-Founder and the Vice-President of Research and Development of Oasys. He has over 17 years of industry experience in synthesis and physical synthesis. He started his career at AT&T's Bell Labs Design Automation Group working on their synthesis tool. He was one of the core architects at Ambit Design Systems responsible for the key technologies in BuildGates and PKS, and subsequently managed the whole synthesis team, including physical synthesis, low-power and test. Immediately prior to co-founding Oasys, he was an Engineering Group Director at Cadence Design Systems, managing the physical synthesis team of SOC Encounter. Dr. Limqueco holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.


Paul van Besouw, President and CEO Oasys

Paul van Besouw is president and CEO of Oasys, and a co-founder of Oasys. He has an extensive technical and management background in the electronics industry. Prior to Oasys, he was responsible for managing the synthesis and physical synthesis teams at Cadence. Prior to Cadence, Paul was one if the first members of the Ambit Design Systems engineering team, where he led the development of the RTL and datapath synthesis technology which he developed from its inception. He holds a MS Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Eindhoven University of Technology, the Netherlands.
